Val Rios, President of the 10th Mountain Division Descendants and Friends from 2007 to 2012, and a dear friend of our association, has shared a powerful and moving video message endorsing our documentary With Love, Billy. His words highlight the importance of preserving the memory of BG William O. Darby and the 10th Mountain Division.
📍 Antonella Previdi with Val Rios at the plaque installed by Benàch to mark the place where BG William O. Darby and his Sgt. Maj. John T. “Tim” Evans, fell on April 30, 1945, in Torbole. Just days later, on May 2, the war in Italy came to an end.
The new plaque, inaugurated on the 80th anniversary, is shown below.
