Don Neder returned to Torbole with his sister Carol and friend Frank, reconnecting with Associazione Benàch and remembering his father, William “Bill” Neder of the 10th Mountain Division.
On POW/MIA Recognition Day, Associazione Benàch remembers the 25 U.S. servicemen lost with a DUKW on Lake Garda in 1945, and 1st Lt. Truman L. Allen, whose P-47 disappeared over the lake four days earlier.
This Christmas, Association Benàch laid wreaths in Torbole to honour the 25 Missing in Action 10th Mountain Division soldiers, and BG William O. Darby with Sgt. Maj. John T. Evans. Learn more about their sacrifice and our remembrance work.
