Living History – Join Association Benàch!
At Association Benàch APS, we are developing a new section dedicated to Living History, and we would love to hear from people interested in getting involved!
Through our experiences screening The Lost Mountaineers, visiting schools and organising exhibitions, we have seen just how effective it can be to bring history to life through authentic uniforms, equipment, personal stories and historical artefacts.
We now want to take this a step further, using Living History as an educational tool to help people, particularly younger generations, better understand the events of the Second World War, remember those who experienced it and learn from the past.
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Living History enthusiasts and reenactors, especially those portraying:
U.S. 10th Mountain Division (WWII)
German Army infantry (Wehrmacht, WWII)
We are a strictly non-political association, dedicated to historical education and remembrance. We do not accept SS uniforms, Nazi ideology or extremist behaviour. All participants must maintain a respectful attitude and appropriate conduct when wearing historical uniforms, particularly during public events, school visits and commemorations.
Whether you are an individual reenactor or part of an established group, we would be delighted to hear from you and explore opportunities to work together.
Interested? Please contact us through our Facebook page or at
Our aim is not to glorify war, but to bring history to life, preserve its memory and help future generations learn from it.
