From Lake Garda to Fort Drum: Sharing the Story of The Lost Mountaineers

We were incredibly proud to screen The Lost Mountaineers 🎬 at Fort Drum, the modern home of the 10th Mountain Division ⛰️.

Telling the story of the 25 soldiers 🇺🇸 who died in Lake Garda, Italy 🇮🇹 on April 30, 1945 — and who are still MIA — directly to today’s 10th Mountain Division soldiers was both emotional and deeply meaningful.

We sincerely thank everyone who made this screening possible. It was a truly special experience, and on behalf of the entire Lost Mountaineers team, we are grateful for the support, hospitality 🤝, and recognition that allowed us to honor the memory of the 25 soldiers. Their sacrifice still resonates, and through this documentary, it was an honor to bring their story “home.”

A special thank you goes to Lt. Col. Christopher Wallgren, commander of 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI), and to all those at Fort Drum who continue to keep the legacy of these men alive.

We are also currently working on a new documentary, With Love, Billy, which focuses on the life and legacy of William O. Darby — the founder of the U.S. Army Rangers. We are actively seeking sponsors and partners to help with the completion of this important project.
