With Love, Billy – Sharing Stories, Preserving Legacy

We are proud to introduce Thomas Hames, a descendant of Eugene S. Hames (K Company, 85th Regiment, 10th Mountain Division). Thomas will be sharing the personal story of his father’s connection to William O. Darby at Lake Garda and the lasting impact it had on his family.

This testimony is part of our ongoing work on the documentary With Love, Billy, which tells the life and legacy of Brigadier General William O. Darby, founder of the U.S. Army Rangers and deputy commander of the 10th Mountain Division.
